IMG_9885The MCC’s (Manhattan Cocktail Classic events) were cancelled this year but that didn’t stop Champagne Personality, Blaine Ashley from mixing up a great unofficial seminar for for wine and spirit professionals.

Hosted at Donostia on the lower east side, NYC, Blaine Ashley, Lynnette Marrero, and Will Peet took us through a series of Spanish sips including: Cava Pere Ventura tasting featuring Cuptage d’Honor, Tresor Brut Reserva, Tresor Brut Rose. Paired with these wines was Manchego, Chorizo, and Olive skewers which paired beautifully.

After some bubbles we moved on to a Sherry tasting led by Will Peet of Donostia. Williams & Humbert Sherries were the star of the seminar

After some sherry pairings, Spanish Rum and Brandy was next! The tasting was neat and led by Lynnette Marrero of Speedrack, LUPEC & DrinksAt6 Consulting. The rums and brandies that were featured were the Torres Brandy and IMG_9897Dos Mederas Rum. Smooth, bold, and
