New Year’s Eve is a wonderful evening to celebrate! Whether you’re out at a party, a hip restaurant, or taking it easy indoors in your pajamas, NYE is always a great excuse to pop some bubbly and celebrate a new year. Sparkling wine makes the evening even that much more festive, and for good reason. I decided to choose my top seven favorites, and will add more to my winter wine guide and Valentines Day wine guide.

This way you can continue sipping all season long, and know you can always find these wines at a retail store near you!

2012 Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé: The Grand Vintage Rose 2012 is the House’s 43rd vintage! It is a wine that’s not to miss, because it stands out for its maturity, character, and personality. It’s a wine that’s beautiful coral pink with some orange and a fine, persistent bubble. It has a fresh nose of blood orange, grapefruit and red fruits. The finish is full of strawberry and it has a wonderfully delicate texture. This is a special wine  which should be shared with great friends over a delicious dinner! It’s also a great bottle to bring as a gift to the host/hostess who always has everything. Pair it with nice creamy cheeses, a seafood tower, or some french fries with truffle oil! $99

Gloria Ferrer Blanc De NoirsOur Blanc de Noirs is predominantly made from hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes. Gloria Ferrer is always a great option to break out and I find every time I taste it, I find something new in the wines to love. These wines are incredible for the value, considering how much work goes into making these wines, just like other sparking wines. The overall aromas and flavors are very inviting, with red berry and vanilla followed by a creaminess that is simply irrestible. I also am a bit biased, I love Blanc de Noirs with a passion, and this one is awesome! Pair with a baked brie topped with onion bacon jam, and some freshly baked baguette! . $22

Graham Beck Brut: A sparkling from South Africa! This delightful sparkling wine boasts light yeasty aromas, lime and fresh fruit on the nose. It’s a wonderful wine with a creamy palate. This is a complex bubbly made to entice and excite you especially when it comes to pairing with food. This is a wine that can easily stand up to hearty dishes such as Gumbo and a Stew, but can also be very attractive as an aperitif as well. Basically, this is a wine to always keep around in your refrigerator, and goes great with Trader Joe’s 1,000 day aged Gouda cheese!! $17

Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut:

The Sonoma Brut is another Gloria Ferrer wine that has stolen my heart. It’s a wine that has been carefully crafted entirely from hand-harvested Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. This brut is mainly made of Pinot Noir, which gives it its complexity and style. On the nose, you’ll notice pear and floral notes followed by a toasted almond note. On the palate, bright citrus, bread, and apple flavors. Overall this wine is a winner for the price, and is one easily everyone would enjoy at a NYE party. If you’re staying in this New Years Eve, fry up some veggies and cheese for this one. Fried goat cheese topped with pomegranate seeds, or mozzarella in carrozza with fried zucchini would be a beautiful pairing with this wine! $22

Sterling Vineyards Blanc de Blancs: The Sterling Vineyards Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine is sophisticated, elegant and creamy. The Blanc de Blancs is pale with beautiful consistency. I love Sterling Vineyards and believe they make incredible wines for outstanding prices. What I love about these bubbles is their mouth feel and flavors of green apple, lemon, and pear. They have a certain style I love, as well as their pair-ability and I find every time I bring them around, people are always very pleased. This wine has a long finish and can easily stand up to some seafood like lobster tails, and even something with meat, such as a beef wellington!  $20

Bollinger La Grande Annee Brut James Bond 007 Edition: An incredible sparkling wine that comes in an awesome case. It’s a limited edition Vintage Champagne made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes and is a stunning wine. It’s elegant and exciting, with notes of red fruit, brioche, citrus, and minerality. On the palate it’s irresistible and one of the best and most expensive Champagne’s I have ever had. This wine is a great gift for a James Bond lover or someone who simply loved Champagne and an awesome bottle to show it off in. The box opens with the push of a button, and the wine pops out into a nice display, like in the James Bond movie scene! $230

Nyetimber English Sparkling Wine: One of the only wines I have tasted from the UK! This exciting bubbly is a delicious addition to your holiday festivities. Situated in the rural heart of the South of England, Nyetimber uses only the finest estate-grown fruit to craft their award-winning wines. Created using the traditional method of sparkling wine production, these well crafted sparkling wines really are worth a try! This Classic Cuvee is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier which are typical sparkling wine and the Champagne varietals that can be used. It has a nice palate of almond and honey, and has been aged for more than three years in the cellar. This is a unique wine that I absolutely recommend for anyone who enjoys sparkling wines and wants to explore a bit more. This wine is perfect with oysters and smoked salmon, so make a party tray for your friends, and pop this open on NYE! $57

There you have it! My favorite sparkling wines for your New Years Eve. With so much wine out there, it’s hard to pick a bubbly which is why I chose seven (lucky number) from completely different price ranges. No matter what you’re doing this holiday season, be sure to grab a bottle of sparkling wine and enjoy it with friends and loved ones.

Tis the season to sparkle!
