I’m starting something new for the Spring and Summer months on this site. Every friday of these sunny seasons I will be showcasing a new Rosé: Rosé Friday! Not only is this the perfect excuse to drink this versatile and fun wine every weekend, but its a great way to showcase some really fun, vibrant, and exciting new rosés in the market!

IMG_9532Bodvár of Sweden House of Rosé  has a line of great wines from Provence, France. The 2013 No 5 was enjoyed with my Easter sunday supper and went beautifully with the Baked Ham, warm Brussels Sprouts, and Roasted Rosemary Potatoes. This rosé is light, fresh, and fragrant.

Subtle notes of raspberry and currants make this rosé bright and fun, while the smooth and balanced acidity make it a great wine with green veggies and ham.

I opened this wine while I was preparing dinner, so you can certainly say this rosé can be enjoyed as an aperitif  before the meal too! Keep an eye out for a comparison of the 2013 to the new 2014 once that releases…
