Gina Unverferth, a Master of Whiskey and a whiz when it comes to mixing up some delicious holiday cocktails. Not only did I get the opportunity to meet, drink, and hang with Gina for an afternoon, but she also showed us how to make this amazing cocktail called the Manitoba.
This cocktail was so simple, unique, and fun that it had to take a good chunk of our Holiday Cocktail Countdown, so here’s to days 9-12!!
1 ½oz Crown Royal Maple Whiskey
¾ oz Lemon Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup
Top with Ginger Beer
Method:
- Muddle lemons into bottom of shaker
- Pour in whiskey and simple syrup
- Shake
- Pour all contents into glass, including lemons
- Top with Ginger Beer
Note: I also did this at home for a friend who didn’t like anything fizzy, so I replaced the Ginger Beer with Ginger Wine and it had an almost identical taste, just with out the bubbles.
For those of you who want to make other fun cocktails, try these during your holiday countdown!
