For New Yorkers, getting time to get back with nature can be difficult to schedule when you live in a concrete jungle. The city that never sleeps makes it hard for people to unplug for a weekend and just take in life, rejuvenate, and explore. Fall is the perfect time for camping (if you enjoy cooler weather). Up in Ithaca, near some gorgeous wineries in the Finger Lakes, you can “Glamp” while still enjoying the outdoors, for the rest of October.
Firelight Camps introduces Glamping: a version of glamorous camping where you can unplug, be one with nature, but still have all the necessary amenities you would have at home. Founded by Food Network Star Emma Frisch, this is a fantastic way to camp in style!
The amenities here however, far surpass those of recreational camping experiences. Guests can still reserve one of six safari-style tents equipped with hardwood floors, a private balcony, a king or queen size bed, and hotel-quality linens.
What is there to do? Well, all tents are within hiking distance of the well-known Finger Lakes Trails and Buttermilk Falls State Park. After discovering nearby waterfalls and nature walks, guests can enjoy the steakhouse, relax at the spa (grab a scrub or massage), or share a communal campfire with local wine, spirits, and homemade S’mores prepared by Frisch.
What will you do with the rest of your October? I say go Glamping!
