The sweet citrus notes in this rum make for the perfect combination with cranberry and licorice. This hot cocktail is sure to cure all your fall and winter blues! I made these Cran-Toddy’s into Hot Toddy “Shots” using the Mini Mason Jar Shots by True Fabrications. These mini mason jars are perfect for a party or brunch when gathering with friends, and can withstand the heat from the toddy cocktails!
1oz Dried Cranberries
1 Licorice Stick
2Tbsp Granulated Sugar
4oz Captain Morgan Cannon Blast
TT Fresh Lemon Juice
1. In a pot, combine the cranberries, sugar, water and licorice stick. Bring to a simmer and immediately take off heat. Sugar will be dissolved into a simple syrup, “tea” base. Let cool off a little while cranberries and licorice continue to infuse: approx. 5 minutes.
2. In a mini mason jar, pour in 1-2oz Captain Morgan Cannon Blast. Top with warm cranberry licorice tea, squeeze in some lemon juice and enjoy!
