Tailgating is one of the best parts of Football Season. I know myself, thats half the reason i’m at the gameIMG_6989 personally. Thanks to Bulleit, who was the official sponsor of SommInTheCity’s Gaints Tailgating Party where we sipped on New York Sour’s and took in some sun while awaiting the gates to open at Giants Stadium.

Bulleit Rye Whiskey is perfect for sipping on its own, but when you’re at the game day drinking, sometimes a cocktail is even better (only because I like my Rye Whiskey, at night over some ice with a cigar).

Here is the perfect New York Sour!

The New York Sour-Recipe courtesy of Bulleit

Ingredients:IMG_6988

·         1.3 oz. Bulleit Rye

·         .5 oz. lemon juice

·         0.75 oz. simple syrup

Preparation: In a rocks glass, combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge or cherry.

image001-9For those of you who want a whole lot more, this fall, Bulleit is taking the trailer on a tailgate tour across America. Follow @BulleitWoody to find out if the Woody is coming to a tailgate near you!

However, if you can’t afford a $150K trailer… try ditching the plastic cups for rocks glasses, adding a table cloth and a floral arrangement to jazz up the space! As many of you know from going to the games, some of these tailgates get pretty serious.
