Outryder opens with notes of caramelized brown sugar and dried orange peel, followed by “hot chocolate and honeyed hay”; tasting notes from the brand that I kind of loved.  On the finish, warm baking spices, subtle mint, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it’s silky and full-bodied with layers of toasted oak, cinnamon bark, and just enough rye spice to give it a memorable finish.

It’s one of those whiskeys that walks the line perfectly: sweet without being syrupy, spicy without burning, and complex without being too much.

Outryder is currently aged 5+ years, giving it a complexity that over-delivers for its price point.
