The Super Bowl isn’t just about the game—it’s about the snacks, the gathering, and yes… what’s in your glass. Whether you’re hosting a full house, showing up with a bottle, or settling in for a cozy watch party, these cocktails are built for sipping between plays, halftime hype, and those tense fourth-quarter moments.

From icy-cold indulgence to low-ABV crowd-pleasers (plus a few no-alcohol options that don’t feel like an afterthought), here’s how I’m mixing it up this year.

The Ice-Cold MVP: Vidal Ice Wine Martini

Lamoreaux Landing Vidal Ice Wine + Vodka

This is winter luxury in a glass—clean, luscious, and unapologetically indulgent.

Recipe

  • 2 oz Lamoreaux Landing Vidal Ice Wine

  • 1 oz quality vodka (I used Good Vodka)

Shake hard with ice until the drink is so cold the ice just starts to chip. That’s the sweet spot. Strain into a chilled martini glass and enjoy immediately.

Why it works: Ice wine’s natural sweetness and acidity make this feel decadent but balanced—not cloying. It’s perfect when you want something elegant that still feels celebratory.

Crowd Favorite: Pinot Noir Hibiscus Mule

Meiomi Bright Pinot Noir, fresh lime, hibiscus ginger beer

This one surprised everyone—in the best way. Juicy, lightly spiced, refreshing, and low-ABV, it’s an easy sip that keeps you coming back for another.

Build

  • Meiomi Bright Pinot Noir

  • Fresh lime juice

  • Hibiscus ginger beer (I used Q Mixers, highly recommend)

Serve over ice in a mule mug or highball.

Why it works: The hibiscus adds a subtle floral tang that lifts the fruitiness of the Pinot without overpowering it. It’s approachable, fun, and perfect for long game days.

Also, works if you’re looking for something lower ABV. My husband who at first looked at me like “why am I being handed a pink cocktail” absolutely loved this one and drank 2, then some of mine… so if that tells you how good it is, it’s a must try!

“More Beer Energy”: The Coffee Kick Spritz

If you’re leaning more beer-adjacent and need a little halftime pick-me-up:

  • Sam Adams Cold Brew

  • Stateside Coffee Liqueur

  • A splash of American bourbon

  • Top with club soda

Adding in some orange bitters or even orange liquor like liquor 43 could brighten it up even more, but this was a lot of fun to sip.

Light, energizing, and just boozy enough to keep the momentum going without knocking you out before the fourth quarter.

No- & Low-Alcohol Options That Still Feel Festive

Because everyone deserves a great drink in hand—no matter their alcohol level.

These are fantastic on their own or as a base for a game-day sangria. Add sliced citrus, berries, or even a splash of regular Prosecco or spirits if you want a customizable “choose your own adventure” option for guests.

✨ Pro tip: Set it up as a DIY sangria bar so guests can spike (or not) as they please.

Pair These With Your Game Day Spread

All of these cocktails play beautifully with classic Super Bowl snacks:

  • Pigs in a blanket

  • Chips & artichoke dip

  • Cheeseboards

  • Nachos

  • Pretzel bites

  • Sliders

  • Wings (buffalo, BBQ, or dry-rub)

The balance of acidity, sweetness, and refreshment keeps flavors lively—no palate fatigue, even after a full spread.

Game day drinks don’t have to be complicated—but they should feel intentional. Whether you’re team ice-cold martini, low-ABV mule, coffee-fueled sipper, or alcohol-free bubbly, these options keep the vibes high and the glasses full.

Now grab your snacks, chill your glassware, and let the best flavors win. Please Pair Responsibly.
