While in Barcelona, Spain I stopped into this boutique wine store: El Celler d’Estruc. Introduced on Instagram, I was so happy not only to find my way through Barcelona (with the help of my Italian tour guide and best friend) but it was great to spend some time in Barcelona like the locals do.
Talking wine in a boutique wine store in one of the prettiest cities in the world was just a highlight to my wonderful Spain trip. The owner is kind and welcoming and very active on social media. The wine shop has everything you would expect in Catalonia including an array of sparkling, white and red wines, as well infused olive oils, sweet wines and Catalonian beer.
I had my eyes on the cava as it is still one of my favorite styles of sparkling wine. I made my way through the small but great selection in the store and was pleasantly surprised by the gentle and loving greyhound that appeared from behind the office wall. Apparently she comes to the store daily and gets to greet the customers and enjoy the perks of going to work with her dad; I wish I could bring my dog to work with me everyday!
If you’re in Barcelona or plan on visiting, be sure to check out this eclectic and Catalonian driven wine store at: Calle Bailén, 141. 08037 Barcelona. Keep an eye out for some of the Beer and Cava I bought there to pair back here with some great dishes!
