Sara is a Certified Olive Oil Sommelier now hosting Olive Oil Tasting Experiences with wine, mocktails, or de-alcoholized wines. This is a very educational and upbeat experience where you will sip, slurp, and snack your way through a selection of high-end Extra Virgin Olive Oils sourced from Spain, Italy, and Greece.

Why Extra Virgin Olive Oil? Well, you know the saying… if it grows, it goes! Wine and Olive Oil are all about destinations, culture, and gastronomy. Sara will guide you and your guests or team through how to properly taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil, how to distinguish high-end from “fraudulent” options, and how to best use cooking oils vs. finishing oils!

SOMM IN THE GROVE is an extension of SOMM IN THE CITY, where Sara sources small production, hand-harvested Extra Virgin Olive Oils from small producers. The Picual is from Toledo, Spain, while the Coratina is from Puglia, Italy.
