I recently checked out another outstanding Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant in NYC called Margherita, on Grand Street!

With passion, we make our pizzas in the Neopolitan tradition, only using natural ingredients imported from Italy. Our dough rising process is no less than 20 hours, allowing us to eliminate most of the gluten, making the crust light and easy to digest. Each of our pizzas is made-to-order and baked in our handmade traditional Neapolitan brick oven.”- Margheritanyc.com

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and even when it’s crowded, you don’t feel packed too tight. They have a nice cocktail selection of a few favorites that definitely get the palate going, and some great wine picks by the bottle. I kept to the glass selection and enjoyed a nice Barolo with my meal here, which of course, was absolutely fabulous! I started off with the Burrata of course because that’s literally an irresistible dish for me. I try to switch it up, but with so many wonderful Italian restaurants in NYC, it’s really hard to resist my favorite appetizer. Now, because I can never have enough cheese (it’s an addiction), I decided to also get the Contadina Pizza, with Mozzarella di bufala, ricotta di frusciella, scamorza & imported pancetta. The dough first off, is out of this world! The ingredients, quality, and craftsmanship of these delicious Neopolitan style pizza’s are simply perfect. Top the delectable dough with high-quality pancetta and mozzarella, and you have one incredible pizza that everyone will love.

The plates of pasta here are not to be missed. I enjoyed the Seafood Pasta Special with shrimp, breadcrumbs, and fresh lemon. This dish was flavorful, filling, and absolutely perfect for a cool night in NYC. This is a great date night spot and also a fun place to gather with friends. Whether you’re a party of two or a party of ten, Margherita will please every palate and taste preference with no problem.

Other hot menu items include more of the pasta specials, menu staples like bolognese, as well as the sweet stuff including their amazing Tiramisu! If you want to end your meal the right way, you should enjoy this wonderful, creamy, and very flavorful dessert. Margherita NYC is a great spot to visit while in the neighborhood due to its great service, outstanding ingredients, menu, and overall good time!
